RF Microneedling
Understand What Microneedling Is
Regular Microneedling
Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation technique that involves the use of fine needles to create tiny punctures in the top layer of skin. This triggers the body’s natural healing response, resulting in the production of new collagen and elastin. The result is smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin. At our office in Portland, we offer both regular and Potenza RF microneedling.
Potenza RF Microneedling
Potenza RF uses radiofrequency energy to further stimulate collagen production. This makes it an ideal choice for those who are looking for more dramatic results. No matter the approach you choose, you can rest assured that your treatment will be performed by a highly skilled and experienced aesthetician when you schedule an appointment with us.
Microneedling in Combination with Other Treatments
Custom-Made Serums
We also offer microneedling with custom-made serums. These serums are used in combination with microneedling to boost your results and expedite the healing process. PRP, PRF, and exosomes are all options we can use when creating a custom serum that will target your specific needs.
Prescription-Grade Injectables
We also combine microneedling treatments with prescription-grade injectables to provide some amazing results for your skin. Hyaluronic acid is a great injectable to use with microneedling because it helps to plump and hydrate the skin. Microtox is another great option because it helps to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. Peptides are also a great choice because they help to boost collagen production.
VitC is a powerful antioxidant that can help to brighten the skin and protect against environmental damage. Filtox is also a great choice because it helps to detoxify the skin and remove impurities. All of these injectables are excellent choices for anyone looking to improve the appearance of their skin.
Sculptra
Sculptra is an injectable dermal filler used to correct facial volume loss in people who have aging skin. The active ingredient in Sculptra, poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), is a synthetic polymer that is biocompatible and biodegradable. Once injected, the PLLA scaffold provides support for new collagen growth, resulting in increased skin thickness and improved elasticity.
Sculptra injections are typically spaced two to four weeks apart, and the results can last two years or more. When Sculptra is injected into the skin at the same time as microneedling, it can help to further boost collagen production and extend the results of your treatment.
Microneedling With PRP
PRP, or platelet-rich plasma, is a powerful concentration of healing cells that can help to stimulate collagen production and promote cell turnover. The process of getting PRP begins with a simple blood draw. The blood is then placed in a centrifuge, which separates the PRP from the blood.
Once the PRP has been isolated, it is then injected into the skin during the microneedling treatment. This delivery method enables the PRP to penetrate deep into the skin, providing maximum results. Benefits of PRP include improved skin texture, reduced wrinkles, fine lines, and enhanced skin elasticity.
Microneedling With PRF
PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) is derived from the patient’s own blood, and it contains many growth factors and cytokines that can promote healing. The process of getting PRP is similar to that of separating PRP from the blood, and it is performed at our state-of-the-art laboratory. Why do we use PRF in combination with microneedling? PRF has anti-inflammatory properties, the ability to improve healing time, and the ability to stimulate collagen production.
Microneedling With Exosomes
Exosomes are tiny vesicles that bud off of the plasma membrane of cells and carry with them a variety of molecules, including proteins, lipids, and microRNA. Exosomes play an important role in cell-to-cell communication by delivering these molecules to other cells. The exosomes derived from mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (MSCs) are especially beneficial because MSCs are known for their healing properties.
When you come for an appointment at our office, we will collect a sample of your bone marrow, which will be used to derive the exosomes. Once derived, the exosomes will be injected into the areas of your skin that are damaged or showing signs of aging. The exosomes will then help to repair the damage and improve the appearance of your skin.
Why We Love Potenza RF Microneedling
The Potenza RF device is quickly becoming a favorite among aesthetic providers because of its unique Tiger Tip™ and Fusion Tip™ technology. The Tiger Tip needles make it so the aesthetician does not have to go over the same areas multiple times retracing their steps, which saves time and provides better results.
The Fusion Tip has a dual-air chamber design that enhances topical penetration and also allows for skin tightening through soft tissue coagulation with each penetration. These features, along with the device’s overall effectiveness, make it possible for us to offer our clients dramatic results.
Who Is a Good Candidate?
